From the Principal’s Desk:

Louisville Girls High School

Welcome to Louisville Gils High School: an all-girls school founded in 1998!

Louisville Girls High School is a well-kept beauty of holistic, Christian education community for the girl-child, delicately tucked away in the sleepy rural town of Ijebu-Itele, Ogun State, Nigeria, away from the hustle and bustle, even chaos, of our busy, big cities. Parents, as well as visitors, who are always pleasantly surprised and impressed by the pristine look and feel, have tried to capture this apparent hidden beauty of Louisville in various ingenious expressions over the years. Such diverse expressions come often as both poetic and literal. But, one common theme in them all, is the serenity the school campus and community give to the cultivation of character and knowledge.

One must, therefore, be full of gratitude to God seeing what a great education enterprise LGHS has become over the years on the one hand; On the other hand, one cannot but feel a sense of pride each time one hears of Louisville held high as a point of reference by her benefactors, beneficiaries, and admirers.

Everyone connected with Louisville is familiar with the testimonies of many beneficiaries of the school. Parents, staff, and especially, past students who talk glowingly of how the Curriculum and other programmes of the school have changed their orientations about life (about focusing on what really and truly matters in life), and how they have been completely transformed into outstanding adults they are today.

To the glory of God, LGHS has stayed true to its mission statement of providing a “wholesome education for her students” over the years. This has been made possible through the uncommon collaborative efforts of all stakeholders in the education of the lovely jewels who have come under our care. The commitment of staff members is commendable as they nurture the learners’ desire for excellence in all they do.

The parents of Louisville, past and present, through the PTA (with the best successive Executive Members in the world) have been passionate and exceptional in their commitment to the growth and maintenance of the high standard the school is remarkably known for. This is demonstrated through their unflinching support for the policy and programmes of the school and generous giving towards their executions over the years.

Acts of Charity are entrenched in the core of our existence as a school community where everyone gives generously of their time and resources for the good of all. Louisville has a robust Charity Programme called the Bridge of Care (B.O.C) through which the school reaches out to the needy. The parents are the main donors to this Programme.

Through the help of God and the cooperation of all stakeholders, Louisville shall continue to live up to its motto of, " grooming future women of integrity” for the society
